Tourism Cares: Unite for Cleaner Destinations – Join Us on the Map!

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the tourism industry of Cyprus and Greece is coming together to protect our shared natural environment through the initiative “Tourism Cares: Unite for Cleaner Destinations.”
The initiative began in Cyprus and, in now, is expanding to Greece for the first time. This year’s campaign will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, bringing together tourism businesses and organisations across Cyprus and Greece. Hotels, resorts, restaurants and other tourism partners will lead clean-up activities in beaches, nature trails, parks and urban areas—showing that tourism not only benefits from the beauty of our destinations, but can also give back to them.
We share the Mediterranean and share a responsibility to protect it. By coming together across Cyprus and Greece, the initiative aims to turn individual actions into a collective effort for cleaner, healthier and more sustainable destinations.
Whether you are a tourism business or organisation looking to organise a clean-up, or an individual who wants to get involved, there is a place for you in the movement.
